The two types of plankton pictured above were among the primary species observed in the bay samples collected over the past two months. Chaetoceros (left) was seen the most in the Front Bay and Pleurosigma (right) has been seen frequently in the Back Bay. Fortunately, neither are known to produce biotoxins.
